OPTOSTOP® Opto-electronic

yarn / fiber control with yarn / fiber tension device

An improved replacement for the BTSR^® piezo type STCS yarn / fiber sensors on single and double cylinder computer controlled sock knitting machines.

The integrated tension device provides a complete replacement assembly.

Works with integrated internal controls or external CMP 24-32 control units.

With its design of the light source and light detector, the Optostop^® detects yarn / fiber movement across a wide "window". Reliable detection of filament, textured and spun yarn / fibers of all sizes and types at every knitting speed is assured.

The Optostop^® dynamic opto-electric unit:

• provides non-contact sensing of yarn / fiber movement.
• is an intelligent sensor with an integrated micro-controller for autonomous function.
• is completely sealed for absolute protection from vibration, moisture, and solvents.
• signals are compatible with the BTSR^® STCS Piezo unit that it replaces.
• The existing cable connection plugs directly into the Optostop^® unit.
• Integrated LED affirms the yarn / fiber is running accurately, is stopped as programmed or is broken or missing.

Yarn / Fiber Tension:

• The complete "Tension and Sensor" assembly can be quickly exchanged.
• Robust stainless steel support with smooth surfaces insures years of service.
